Holy Móle, Deliciously Beautiful!

When Nick and Lupe, Owners and Partners of Móle Cantina Mexicana, came to us for a menu design for their new restaurant location in Florida, we delivered! Utilizing Mexican-inspired patterns and elements, Móle’s new menus brought that added flavor their previous menus were hungry for.

Our goal was to match the level of Mexican authenticity of their mouth-watering dishes (because a great restaurant deserves great-looking menus).  After the main menus were completed, the owners were even more excited about their brand, enlisting our services for their Happy Hour Menu and To-Go Menus. To fulfill the needs of all their customers (and parents) we also designed the Móle Kids Menu which provided a visual guide for kids to make their food selections as well as activities to keep them entertained (including learning Spanish!). The result was a colorful yet clean menu design that maintained the Móle theme.

While designing the menu for Mole–Wellington, we were entrusted with giving the Móle logo a design refresh; taking the existing look and feel, and giving it a more Spanish vibe for the new South Florida location. We used two typefaces, each with a distressed look to add a bit of character. Creating three versions of the logo provides options for different layouts and media uses.

For the business card, we made the logo pop more by knocking it out from the background and adding a spot UV to it, highlighting the text and the Mexican tile pattern. To kick it up a notch, the Móle sun icon was highlighted with gold foil, adding some flare while giving the business card the Midas touch.

Mouthwatering dishes, fresh ingredients, and expertly crafted cuisine shine through in our food photography. This is as authentic as you can get—no staging, no tricks, no inedible food props. Simply delicious food photographed for a couple of minutes as it came hot out of the kitchen. Great for social media, online ordering, and print ads!
